At the Consumer Electronics Show In Las Vegas Lexar announced a new Wire-Free 2GB SD Card featuring Eye-Fi Technology. This SD memory card works just like any other flash memory card in that it allows you to store date on it specifically pictures when put in your digital camera, but the amazing thing about this Lexar Wire-Free SD Card is that you can send(ie upload) your photos from your digital camera directly to the internet without any cables or being connected to a PC . This breaks new grounds on how you use an SD card as today you need to either connect your camera via cable to the PC or take the memory card out of the camera put it in a memory slot or card reader to do anything with the pictures. Now with the Lexar Wire-Free Card & Eye-Fi technology integrated in you can simply take a picture and have this be uploaded directly to the internet to share on your favorite photo site instantly via any wifi hotspot.
