I pride myself in “always being prepared” however, that can only go so far. How about being prepared for those unknown circumstances or someone else’s unpreparedness? Either way, I was fully prepared for both of those “OOPS” occasions!

The day I received my POWERSTICK, I immediately charged it from my laptop. That evening while attending my daughter’s young student’s dance recital, one of the parents forgot to charge their digital camera. Their daughter’s special dance would not be captured. No worries, I was prepared. Ever since it won a CES 2007 Innovation Award, I have been curious about what made the Powerstick so special. Designed for functionality, the Ecosol Powerstick is not extremely fancy or flashy. But what the Powerstick lacks aesthetically, it makes up for in capability. The Powerstick is a portable charger with a lithium polymer battery and a LCD indicator on the front to make it easy for you to tell how much power is left. This allows you to become truly mobile and free from wall and car chargers.

Since I was going camping for the long weekend, I figured this was the perfect chance to test the Powerstick’s functionality. As soon as I got a hold of one, I quickly plugged it into a USB port to charge it. It took a little bit less than 90 minutes to fully charge. I then threw it into my backpack and hit the road. I did not think about the device again until a day or two later when my Mp3 player suddenly turned off in the middle of a Lil Wayne song. I then grabbed the Powerstick and plugged my Mp3 player into it to keep the tunes going and the campers happy. Even though I would need at least ten Powersticks to play all of the Lil Wayne songs I have, the Powerstick did an excellent job of quickly charging up my Mp3 player and keeping the party going.

The Ecosol Powerstick is a very unique and practical device. As far a portable chargers go, the Powerstick is one of the best I have used. It is a major upgrade from chargers that use battery power. The Powerstick is very easy to use, handy, and allows you to unplug and, at the same time,  stay plugged in no matter where you are.
