Verizon recently announced the release of their MiFi 2200 portable router with 802.11 b/g and EV-DO Rev. A. This awesome little device can connect up to five different WiFi devices at once to Verizon’s 3G connection. This means that anywhere you can get service with a Verizon phone, you can connect computers, smartphones, capable MP3 players, etc. to the internet. This allows you to remain mobile and connected at the same time, but you are going to have to pay for it. You can pay for a 24-hour pass for $15, $40 per month for 250MB, or $60 per month for 5GB. In addition, the unit itself costs around $100 after the rebate.
With the release of their mobile hotspot, Verizon is furthering their control of the mobile market and increasing our access to the internet wherever and whenever. But with a battery life of 4 hours during use and 40 hours in standby mode, you might want to find an alternative if you need time to accomplish many tasks. Although the price and the battery life are not optimal, the Verizon MiFi 2200 defies logic by keeping us connected while we are unconnected…..wait….what?

Tired of carrying your books around all the time? Luckily something has been done about this! The new Kindle 2 by Amazon is the solution to more than one problem. It is not only ridiculously light and small, but it also extremely convenient and practical. We all have experienced lugging books around the airport, at school, and at a variety of other events. With just the click of a button you can access a library with more than 250,000 books and simply download whichever you want in no more than sixty seconds. I am sure I have already hooked you on this product, but lets take a closer look at everything it has to offer:
- 1/3 of an inch in thickness
- 10.2 ounces in weight
- 3G wireless connection allows for quick access to the online library
- 2GB of available storage
- 4 days of battery life with wireless on
- Most books are available for $9.99 or less
- Store up to 1,500 books
As a tech woman, I am very excited to blog about this product. It has always been a hassle for me to have to carry around my books, especially when I want to go on vacation. The Kindle 2 is a product worth having simply because it allows you to read books on the go and cuts out time roaming around the bookstore for your next great read. Finally there is a tech product for the person always on the move, the person who can’t put a book down, and the person who can’t decide what to read.Â
