First off, the fun and cool aspect of the Web Runner is the fact it’s an innovative tech toy that you can control via remote in and watch it defy gravity by climbing walls. Seeing this Black Widow spider climbing and going across walls based on your control is an amazing experience! The Anti-Gravity Web Runner uses patent-pending suction technology allowing it to operate on the floor, walls, and upside-down. It’s like the spider has under it’s belly a mini vaccum cleaner suction that helps it stick to the walls and keep close as it climbs. Innovative indeed!
This Web Runner spider also has legs that move, glowing red eyes, and can move over surfaces in 360 degrees motion. The fun part is seeing this Web Runner spin around very fast with crazy speed and then at the same time able to climb walls. You can see video demo here:
How is it controlled? It’s controlled all wirelessly via the remote and charging station. The remote control requires 6 AA batteries to operate all.
In terms of other cute & fun attributes, the Web Runner includes a comic book and a spider bite tatttoo in which kids should enjoy and makes for a nice kit.
The only negative is the product seems to use battery power pretty quickly and is not fully powerful to make it 100% stable at all times on the walls so sometimes the Web Runner can not make the climb, but this is limited and works pretty much every time.

New Android Phone, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, Delivers Innovation!
We received the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and pleased to introduce you to this highly tuned Android based smartphone that delivers an excellent multimedia experience for all of your social media and entertainment needs. We are impressed with this smartphone on a few fronts so lets start off first by the look n’ feel & touch!
The Xperia X10 has a beatiful 4-inch crystal clear touch display and features an 8.1 megapixel camera with smile detection, face recognition, autofocus and LED flash. The great aspect about the form factor is it’s light, thin, and yet solid quality feel. It is skinny & light for easy portability, but sturdy enough for on the go rugged needs & experiences. Great job on the design & ID for this Xperia X10 in which you notice with the first touch as it delivers a high quality feel. When you use it the performance backs it up fully. We really liked the bright screen for easy navigation and viewing of media plus the touch screen was very intuitive, responsive, and worked with no glitches right out of the box. We did not need to update or tweak any settings so good out of box first experience!
In terms of features it comes with two signature applications, Mediascape and Timescape™ . Here is how they describe these features:

The only thing we wished it had more of right out of the box ready for you to enjoy by default is some fun games. We felt like playing games on it immediately to test out the screen and touch ability, but felt the gaming aspect was missing. Other then that it was right on…

OnStar is innovating and refreshing all for bigger & better! Brand Relaunch with Focus on Responsible Connectivity
We were invited to a wonderful OnStar press event last night in San Francisco and witnessed first hand their new announcement and details of a relaunch of its brand with a focus on “Responsible Connectivity”. With that OnStar is introducing some pretty cool new services, capabilities, and technology specifically around social applications. The main goal is clear; OnStar wants to continuously innovative, be more relative, and take care of it its nearly six million subscribers in the best way possible.
OnStar notes that the new suite of products will significantly increase drivers’ in-car connection to the world, while extending OnStar’s safety leadership in the automotive industry. One demo we witnessed was around being in the car and receiving & responding to texts all hands free via text to voice recognition technology and blue-tooth sync-up to your car audio system so that was impressive. It was clear OnStar wants to help you enjoy your social life on the go while in the car and not have to have these social connections like facebook or texting on hold while your driving. Here are the details on this:
Audio Facebook Updates: OnStar showcased in-car social media interactions that are being tested. If implemented, Audio Facebook Updates would allow OnStar subscribers to verbally update their Facebook status message through audio recordings and/or listen to their most recent news feed messages through the OnStar Virtual Advisor service.
· Voice Texting: OnStar revealed beta tests for voice-based SMS (short message service). This feature would enable customers to have their text messages read to them using Bluetooth.
The Bluetooth technology allows users to connect their mobile device to their vehicle and receive automated text messages. With one button press, on the steering wheel, users can reply to a text by verbally selecting a preset response.
A new marketing campaign was also revealed that aligns with the new business strategy. The TV AD they presented really drove home the point that OnStar will be key to all your travel & safety needs. I liked the TV AD aspect of the personal stories and touches of how OnStar can benefit and make things easier with your life around travel from sending maps to car, supporting any accidents, sending automobile critical info to trained professionals, and just having OnStar their to help you with whatever you need while on the road all the time etc. Here is what their CMO, Sam Mancuso, says about this marketing campaign and see ad example here:
