In terms of design the i465 is 4.4 inches by 2.1 inches by 0.6 inch so a nice compact small size  for a QWERTY phone.  It has a nice red color with a cool shine plus tapered edges give it a great feel and overall sleek look. The phone only ways 3.4 ounces so very light, but it has a nice touch in the hand. In part the feel of the phone is due to the battery cover in which has a great textured finish.

It has a large 1.79-inch display with decent resolution (64,000 colors; 160×128 pixels). This phone is geared for messaging rather than gaming so the resolution will suffice. You can change the back-lighting time and the text size so it’s pretty flexible.

 

The Clutch’s controls overall have a decent design. You’ll find a circular toggle with a central OK button, two soft keys, a dedicated menu control, a speakerphone key, and the Talk and End/power buttons. All of the controls are intuitive and easy to use.  This is really one handy gadget!

On the right side of the display you’ll find more buttons.  These are additional shortcuts for the messaging application, the Web browser, and the camera.  On the left side, you’ll find the rocker and PTT button.  Below them are a standard Mini-USB charger port and  2.5-millimeter headset jack  .The camera lens rests on the rear face of the phone. It’s a nice placement and works great. The only thing missing to make this camera perfect would be a flash.

What we really liked most was the full-QWERTY keyboard as it’s compact and works well. The buttons are embossed at angles in which makes them very usable. The keys feel solid and respond well to quick typing. The other cool bonus is the keys light up when pressed.

Overall if your looking for an affordable phone and one that offers you the most important  practical bells & whistles the Motorola Clutch i465 is one worth checking out. You can’t go wrong with Boost Mobile plans and they are very flexible.  The phones’ cool candy bar sleek & slim design make it a great stocking stuffer this holiday season indeed!
